£3.00 – 0.07 – 0.15 – 0.30 – 0.50 – 0.47 = £1.51 to the maker

Plain card and envelope are purchased for 62pence each.

Retail packaging of plastic cover / case are 7pence each.

Materials in the form of glue, printing ink, rubber stamps, inkpads and postage stamps are negligable but certainly accrue, for the sake of argument, at about 2pence per card.

Making the card, photographing, packaging and storing the card, listing it online and managing any sales, wrapping, invoicing and queuing to mail the card, as well as all and any profit  I care to claim…
